Help Keagen fight Hodgkin's Lymphoma

UPDATE #3: Some GREAT news....Keagen's most recent PET Scan shows significant decrease in the Cancer in her Chest and Neck. The NOT so great news, according to her Team at the Stollery, Keagen should have reached Remission already...There are still signs showing that there is still Cancer present in her Neck Nodes. Keagen has been labelled as a slow responder to the Trial Chemo Therapy. The Trial has decided to put her into a more AGGRESIVE Chemo Therapy Treatment, and NOT Immunotherapy. So the next few months are going to be really rough for Keagen.
The new Treatment Plan is 3 Days of aggressive Chemo, with 1 day minimum of being admitted into the hospital, chemo at home and then again around the 8 Day mark. A 21 DAY CYCLE!!
She will be on heavy Steroids which also comes with risks and side effects.
She needs to be admitted for atleast 24 hours to be watched due to the risks and side effects of this Treatment Plan.
After 2 cycles of this, she will also have 2 Weeks of Targeted Radiation.
We have already had a set back with this Treatment Plan...We were supposed to start last week, but unfortunately her Blood Counts were TOO low to start because it increased her chances of Infection.
We are heading back to the Stollery today, April 29, 2025 to try again...with Colds....of course!
Keagen is still in great spirits and is looking forward to getting started and closer to being finished!!

UPDATE #2: Due to the Chemo Therapy treatments Keagen has been receiving, she started to lose her hair. A group that is very close to Keagen has banded together to support her and shave their heads along with her. She says a weight has been lifted!

UPDATE: Just wanted to give everyone an update on what’s been going on with Keagen.

She has successfully completed her first round of chemo ( 2 treatments) . She had a rough go the first time , but this time she seems to be handling it rather well. Her care team have her on a great regimen to control the nausea and side effects . She is of course very tired , and getting rather annoyed with the amount of DNA in the form of hair she is leaving everywhere she goes. She has one more cycle until she goes for a PET scan to see how she has responded to treatment , but we’re SUPER hopeful she has already responded well. Her cough that was caused by the masses in her chest has gone away , and her visable mass in her neck has gotten SUBSTANTIALLY smaller! She has also joined a clinical trial that if chosen after the next cycle she might be able to do immunotherapy instead of chemo , which is much less toxic and harsh on her body!

Thank you so much to everyone who has showered us with support and love ❤️ be that emotionally or financially! We couldn’t do this without our “ village”. Our family , friends and community are truly the best around !

Hi, our names are Chantelle and Jamie. We are looking to raise funds to help our Sister, Brother-In-Law and family.

After a year of unexplained lumps on the chest & neck, constant Appointments and being told numerous different Diagnoses for our niece Keagen who is 16yrs old, her parents have finally found a Doctor at the Stollery Children's Hospital that would LISTEN.....
Keagen has unfortunately been diagnosed with Stage 2B Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Keagen's family consists of Jessie (mom), Quentin (dad), Brody (brother) and Emmett (brother). Jessie and Quentin are amazing Parents. They have not stopped searching for answers and to make sure Keagen gets the best care in the world.
Unfortunately, this puts a huge strain on finances. We are looking to raise some funds to help with the travel expenses of having to travel an hour each way to the Stollery Children's Hospital for Treatments and appointments, accomodation for the family and every day needs as both Jessie and Quentin need to be their for Keagen. We would like to note, that both Jessie and Quentin's Employers are being very supportive.
But with having 2 young boys in school, a sick kiddo, the expenses of child care, travel, parking costs at the Stollery Children's Hospital, etc, it puts a huge strain on a family of 5.
The family lives outside of a major centre, so Jessie and Quentin have to take an entire day off of work to be able to accommodate Keagen's Treatments and Appointments. This is a whole day lost of wages for 2 working parents.
Not only does the Family have to Travel to Edmonton, they must also take their 1 boy to school as he attends full time and their other boy to a sitter as he only attends school part time (which is almost 1/2hr in the opposite direction of Edmonton from where they live).
If you are able to help alleviate some of the Financial Strain, the family would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much everyone.
