Keagan's Nashville Launch

* ANNOUNCEMENT: Getting Keagan Launched*

Keagan and I have decided to move back to Nashville, Tn. on Sept 1st. I’m very late on getting this post up, as I was busy locating another van. My old Chrysler finally bit the dust (great timing, huh? ha ha). So, we’ve been burning the midnight oil, trying to make up for the down time.

Keagan was born in Middle Tennessee. I lived there for about 14 years.

This move is all about launching Keagan and giving him the biggest step-up, that I can muster. Two of his most

passionate and biggest God-given talents involve his love of

music and horses, musical and equestrian adventures are

his dreams, both of which can find fulfillment in Nashville.

So, with the encouragement of great old friends, who still reside in Nashville, and great deliberation; a return to the ol’ Volunteer State, is what Keagan wants to do. I agree.

As a single Dad and working musician, I am extremely grateful for all of the local and regional musical support that everyone has shown Keagan. The young man has only been playing for four years, yet has a decade worth of knowledge, thanks to our extended musical family. We are also humbled to have served on the local Musical Programming Advisory Committee for the National Folk Festival...what an honor, for a couple of hayseeds!

We hope that many have benefitted from the free workshops, open Sessions, concert series and local festivals of which we

have been a part. Hopefully our fellow musicians and artists will keep them all going so as to inspire and enlighten future generations of young and hungry, local musicians; just like my son.

We’ve been busting our tails to stay locally/regionally booked up until we depart Delmarva. Currently, I am working on booking shows along our path back to Middle Tennessee.

Sometimes there are just not enough dates in any given period of time, no matter how much we bust our tails. So, additionally...I am humbly, and somewhat embarrassingly, setting up a GoFundMe account to fill in some funding holes in the moving process.

Again….this big move is about getting Keagan launched. I’m merely the ‘vehicle’ to get him in the most advantageous position to start his adult life and career path.

In closing, I encourage you to continue supporting local Delmarva/Salisbury musicians and artists, along with the places and/or venues where they present their craft. Hopefully this resurgence of Folk Music forms will continue to engage, inspire and usher in new appreciation.

We ask that you consider donating to this GoFundMe Account Hopefully some of our altruistic ‘good deeds’ in our community, will result in a favorable good-turn and, of course, positioning us to continually pay forward, that with which we have already been blessed.
