Christy, Jason, and their five children were living in Tallahassee Florida when they discovered their home was contaminated with toxic mold. They were forced to move out literally overnight and leave everything they owned behind. They continue to live in Tallahassee for two more years, moving several times but their health continued to deteriorate. The decision was made to move to a dryer climate where they could begin the process of healing. Because of the violence of the reactions to the slightest exposure to either mold or the mycotoxins associated with it they once again had to leave everything they owned behind and fly to Arizona. Everything means absolutely everything. They bought new clothes to wear on the plane and left behind their glasses, drivers licenses, everything physical. Jason is a highly qualified nurse practitioner, but it has been extremely difficult to find work in the area where they need to live. The job that had been in place when they moved fell through when they got there. He has now been hired for a job in Cottonwood, Arizona that begins in late July, with his first paychecks coming in mid August. For the last four months they have been living in a tent in the Arizona weather, and have had to completely discarded and renew all their gear three times because of re-contamination. There has been a marked improvement in their health although when relapses happen it is severe. They have gone through all their savings and credit available to them and are in desperate need of funds to help them get through the next six or eight weeks until the paychecks begin coming in. In the meantime they are going to need deposits for rentals and to buy everything they need for a house or apartment, clothing, household goods, furniture etc. Join with us to help our dear friends get through this difficult time and get back on their feet again. They have been so generous to others in the past, let’s help them get over this hump and on the road to both physical and financial recovery.
