Friends and family,
Some of you may know, and some of you maybe hearing this for the first time. Nick Perone was admitted into Elmhurst hospital this monday for a life threatening illness. He has not been feeling well for the last few months with intestinal issues, and his condition was becoming worse and worse. Within the last 2 weeks he made his third trip to the ER this monday 9/21. They saw how serious his condition was and admitted him and began tests and treatment.
At this point my understanding from speaking with his wife Jessica, is that he will be undergoing significant surgery at UIC downtown Chicago. He is awaiting transfer today or tomorrow (Saturday).
Nick has been a great friend and co-worker, and as a friend has always helped me in my time of need. I have witnessed him do the same for many of you, and I'm sure countless other times that many of us are not aware of.
I'm asking that we come together and give back. His wife and 5 kids are going through a very hard time, and will be spending a lot of time coping with his absense at home, and dealing with the emotional toll of his surgery and recovery.
I do not know how long he will be away from work, or how numberous his medical bills will be. This is a major surgery, and require a lot of rest and healing. So I'm asking you help take burden off of his family so that they have one less thing to worry about, and can focus on helping him heal.
Your generous donation will go directly to him and his family for food, rent, everyday living expenses, and the mounting medical bills. Anything that you are able to give - $5, $20, $50, $100, $500, anything will help!
You can contact his brother Brandon or myself if you need to.
Thank you in advance, and please keep Nick and his family in your prayers everyday!
Greg
