But this one is for my brother, who at only 29 years old needs spine surgery.

Those of you who know Henry, know how special and kind of a person he is. He has the best sense of humor, and his laugh is contagious. It’s hard to see the ones you love have their light dimmed with struggles. So I’m trying to help lighten his load by raising some money for him—something he would never ask for himself.

For the past two years, he has lived with a herniated disc that’s been pressing on his spinal nerve, leaving him with constant pain and loss of sensation in his left leg. He’s tried every non-surgical option available—from medications to injections—but nothing is working anymore. The next step is surgery.

While we’re hopeful this procedure will finally give him relief and a chance to move forward, the financial reality is heavy. He’ll be out of work for 4-6 weeks while recovering, and on top of everyday bills and rent, he’s facing a $7,500 deductible and out-of-pocket cost for the surgery itself.

We’re hoping to raise $10,000 to cover:

• His surgery deductible and medical expenses

• Rent and essential bills during his two-month recovery
