Hello, my name is Maya and I’m doing a fundraiser on behalf of my sister Katrina Thunberg’s children. My sister passed away unexpectedly this morning at age 43. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. Anyone who interacted with my sister could see she had the biggest heart. She loved her family so much and worked hard to give them the life she didn't have growing up. As Katrina's kids were growing up, if any kids in the neighborhood needed a meal or a place to hang out, her door was always open to them. Growing up, I would visit my sister in Duluth, Minnesota. I would watch her in awe; she was a force to be reckoned with and fiercely protected her family but had much love radiating from her. She leaves behind her husband of 25 years Tony, her daughter Taneasha, sons Tony, Dametre and Tyrese.

Her children are young adults just starting out in the world, so funeral costs are challenging so we are hoping for help to take the burden off of her family by raising money for the memorial.
