Care for Cara

I am raising money to help with the costs of a surgery for my beloved Basenji named Cara who means the world to me. The surgeon who examined Cara said the mass in her anal sac is causing her discomfort and needs to be removed and tested to find out if it is cancerous. The quote for the surgery is $3,364.56 on the low end to $4,135.49 this includes an overnight stay where they will monitor her overnight and the removal of whatever is causing her discomfort. Anything would help towards this enormous bill.  The surgery is set up for Tuesday morning, I am dropping Cara off around 8am.

Background on Cara: She is a retired championship show dog who won best of breed 4 times as a youngster under the age of two.  At age 7 her owner Midge Greenlee was put into hospice and Cara was transported to Virginia from Florida. I applied to adopt her and was accepted I drove from Connecticut to Virginia and back in one day and came home with the most beautiful and loyal Basenji girl. Cara is always by my side and follows me from room to room, she is my everything and I just want her to be comfortable.
