On Monday January 22nd my friends husband Jim Spaulding was in an accident. He fell down some concrete stairs while holding an air conditioner and landed on his knees. Being 6’7 and 350lbs, his coworkers knew immediately how serious his injuries would be. With the quick thinking of his coworkers they called an ambulance and got him to the hospital. After hours of images and tests the orthopedic doctors said he tore both quads. No one could believe it due to the rarity of tearing BOTH quads at the same time. He went into surgery hours later to repair his muscles. Unfortunately this is going to be a long recovery physically, mentally and especially financially. As of today he is still at the hospital waiting for a spot at a rehab where he will stay and they can work with him to walk again and regain his strength. He’s very sore and took quite a beating from those stairs. Please keep Jim and his family in your hearts and send some positive healing vibes their way!
