My name is John Trezza; my best friends name is Yogi. 
  When Yogi was a little puppy he had to get his eye wrinkles cut back like all sharpei's have to have at some point.

The doctor who performed the procedure reassured the breeder that he was the best choice for the surgery, and was chosen to do the surgery for Two puppies; one being yogi.  In actuality he had never performed any surgeries of the kind ever before. Sadly, Yogi's brother was killed during the surgery, and he sliced both of Yogi's eyeballs, deeming him fully blind for life.

The breeder called me and told me i could back out of the deal because of the severity of what had happened, I refused; I fell in love with the photos of Yogi, he was my puppy and I wasn't turning my back on him because of what happened.

It's been a wonderful 2 years with Yogi, and he is so loved by everyone and does amazing for a blind dog. However the vet recently told me more sad news that the nerves behind his eye balls are dying and its slowly going to be causing him extreme pain.

He also has recently bumped into some things and cut his eye causing it to bleed and swell..

To fix the problem and alleviate his pain, the only choice we have is to remove his eyeballs.  I don't want Yogi to suffer anymore, he is such an amazing dog, and he doesn't deserve to be in pain. I also couldn't imagine him running around with his eye lids shut forever, because of one horrible person's actions.

I have absorbed all medical bills up to the point including daily eye drops and medicine. But this is going to be an extremely costly surgery, so I am begging you to help me get rid of his pain and give him prosthetic eyes.
