Dear Friends and Family,
This past week...I almost lost a close friend and "battle buddy"! While attending the Army's Air Borne School at Fort Benning, my dog Spartacus was going to hang out at home in Lawerenceville with my parents. The morning of Jan14 at 0800 hours Spartacus got off his leash in pursuit of a small rabbit. After hours of looking for him, my parents got a call from a neighbor stating they had found Spartacus in their driveway with a coat full of blood. Two areas especially, his mane/jaw area and pelvis/hind leg area. Rushing to the scene, my dad witnessed Spartacus still bravely clinging to life wagging his tail. My father rushed him to the hospital...the diagnosis was that HE WAS SHOT TWICE!!! The 1st round went through the jaw
refracted off a tooth and exited inches from his jugular
and running away from his assailant the 2nd round entered below the pelvis and exited in his groin area.
The medical bills are slowly piling up and as much as my pride would allow...any donations will be accepted and I can personally tell you that my family and I would be humbled gratefully!
Once again thank you all for your well wishes and concerns..Spartacus is a strong dog and will overcome this obstacle. He is a loving dog and would never hurt anyone. We appreciate any help you can provide, even just prayers. Thank you so much!
