Help Claire Smile Again
Donation protected
I reached my goal this morning through a private donation. Thank you EVERYONE!
Hello, my name is Claire Gallimore, and I live in Lincoln, Nebraska. I'm reaching out with a hopeful heart and a humble request.
In March of 2014, I suffered an open fracture of the maxilla (also known as a dentoalveolar fracture), a traumatic break to my upper jaw. That fracture changed the course of my life. At the time, the focus was on physical healing. But as the years have passed, I've continued to live with the painful and difficult aftermath of that injury. Due to complications and bone damage from the fracture, I've lost multiple teeth over time. I live with daily discomfort, trouble chewing, and an inability to eat many foods. Even smiling or speaking clearly can be hard some days. This injury has taken a toll not only on my physical health but on my self-esteem and confidence.
Despite doing everything I can to adapt and cope, the truth is that I need dentures in order to eat properly, speak comfortably, and smile without pain or shame. The cost for the dental work, including extractions, fittings, and follow-up care, is approximately $3,500—a cost I simply cannot afford on my own.
I'm asking for your help so I can move forward after more than a decade of living with the lingering effects of this injury. Every dollar brings me closer to being able to chew without pain, smile with confidence, and regain a piece of the life I lost in 2014.
If you're able to donate—no matter the amount—it would mean the world to me. And if you can't give financially, simply sharing this campaign helps more than you know.
With gratitude,
Claire Gallimore
