Celeste Bloomingdale is our friend from Norwich, N.Y; a mother of three young men that is struggling with the unexpected news that she may suffer from permanent paralysis as a result of herniated discs pressuring the nervous system in her spine. She is currently at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY recovering from a five hour surgery that will hopefully mitigate some of the damage to her nervous system.
Prior to her physical ailment, Celeste took part in many charitable 5K runs for various nonprofit organizations and causes. Beyond that, when a member of our community was in a severe biking accident, she rallied the community to host a benefit to raise money for his speed y recovery with a substantial outcome. Alongside her charitable deeds, Celeste has been a dedicated employee here at Gus' Steakhouse for 10 years, starting as a server opening day and is now the manager. After seeing her hard work, loving acts for the community, and dedication to her children and family, we have decided to start this GoFundMe so that we can encourage our community to pay it forward.
As you all know, the cost burdon of sudden medical problems can be substantial and debilitating especially with dependent children during the Holiday season.
All money raised will be applied towards the medical expenses incurred for Celeste's recovery and the welfare of her family in their time of greatest need.
We have set a starting goal of $25,000 that we hope to reach expeditiously to show our support and help outweigh the emotional and physical pain surrounding the Bloomingdale family by offsetting the cost burdon of her medical treatments and to see Celeste in a state of health where we can all see her run again.
