Our Story

Hanna is our 10-year-old Labrador who has been our loyal companion and best friend. Recently, we discovered a painful, bleeding nodule on her lower left jaw. After a biopsy (FNA), the doctors identified it as a Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a type of aggressive oral cancer.

The Good News

Despite this scary diagnosis, Hanna is a warrior. We recently performed a series of advanced diagnostic tests to see if the cancer had spread, and the results gave us incredible hope:

Clear Lungs: Her chest X-rays show no signs of metastasis (the cancer has not spread to her lungs).

Healthy Organs: Her abdominal ultrasound confirmed that her liver, kidneys, and spleen are healthy and clear.

Strong Bloodwork: Her blood tests show she is in great shape for her age, meaning she is a strong candidate for surgery.

Why We Need Your Help

Because the cancer is currently localized to her lower jaw, surgery is her best chance at a pain-free life. However, the procedure she requires is a mandibulectomy, a complex surgery that involves removing the left side of her lower jaw to ensure the cancer is fully cleared.

The path to her recovery is costly, and we need to raise funds for:

CT Scan (TAC): To map the tumor's exact location in the bone before the mandibulectomy.

Mandibulectomy Surgery: To remove the affected side of her jaw and eliminate the source of her pain.

Post-Op Care: Including specialized nutrition, pain management, and pathology to confirm the surgery's success.
