Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but today my family and I are reaching out for help as my dad continues to fight for his life in the hospital. He was admitted due to a severe gastric bleed, and just when we thought things were improving, more complications developed , including pneumonia. The doctors are still running multiple tests to understand what’s happening and how best to treat him.

Seeing my dad like this has been heartbreaking. He has always been our rock, the quiet strength who holds our family together. He is also the main caretaker of my brother. My dad has always been patient, selfless, and devoted always putting everyone else first without hesitation. Now he’s the one who needs us.

Being far from home during this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face. As much as my heart aches to be by his side, I’m here raising my own children and building a life for them, and the distance makes everything feel even heavier. I think every day about flying home to take care of him, but the truth is the money for that flight is better used right now to help fund his treatment. It’s a painful choice, and one only families living far away will fully understand. We love our parents deeply, but we also have little ones depending on us, and that reality hurts more than words can explain.

The medical bills are piling up, and with more tests and treatments ahead, the costs are overwhelming. We are doing everything we can, but we need help, to ensure my dad receives the care he needs and to keep our family afloat during this incredibly difficult time.
