On April 27, 2020, Ernesto Martinez, my grandpa, passed away due to the covid-19 virus. He was a wonderful man who loved everyone even if he didn’t really show it with affection, he showed it with tiny gestures. He never really liked smiling in pictures, even though his smile is so precious. He would always take a stroll with our dog around the neighborhood to stay young and healthy. He was a hard working man until his last breath. At 72 years old, he continued to work to contribute to our family here and family in Mexico, he was always willing to take extra shifts at work, no matter the schedule. He was taken from us too soon, in a way we couldn’t really say our final goodbye. He didn’t deserve to go like this, but he is now resting in peace. He leaves behind his wife, three children, four beautiful granddaughters, and a handsome grandson and his daughters/son in laws. But he left us with countless memories to keep his spirit alive. My parents, sister and myself are self-quaratined at home, with no secure income and need help gathering the money for his funeral arrangements and to make it through this difficult time. En abril 27, 2020, Ernesto Martinez, mi abuelito, falleció por el covid-19 virus. El era una persona maravillosa que quería a todos aunque no lo enseñaba con afecto pero lo enseñaba con pequeñas expresiones de amor. Nunca le gustaba sonreír en las fotos aunque el tiene una sonrisa preciosa. El siempre caminaba por el vecindario con nuestra perrita para siempre sentirse joven y saludable. El era una persona trabajadora y trabajo hasta que se comenzó a sentir mal. A sus 72 años, el siguió trabajando para sentir que podía contribuir y proveer su familia aquí y su familia en México. El siempre estaba dispuesto a elegir turnos en el trabajo no importaba el tiempo o las horas. Se nos fue muy pronto, sin poder despedirnos. El no se merecía irse así, pero el ya está descansando en paz. El dejo su esposa, sus tres hijos, cuatro hermosas nietas, y un hermoso nieto, sus nueras y yerno. Pero nos dejó llenos de memorias bonitas para seguir manteniendo vivo su espíritu. Mis papas, mi hermana, y yo estamos en cuarentena en la casa, sin ingresos económicos seguros y necesitamos ayuda a juntar dinero para su funeral y para pasar estos tiempos difíciles.Si pueden donar, no importa la cantidad, o si lo pueden compartir, te lo agradecemos mucho.
