I am trying to escape my abusive household, which consists of my emotionally, verbally, mentally, and sometimes physically abusive mother, and my verbally and physically abusive brother. I was recently assaulted by my brother, resulting in several contusions across my body, wounds, and a concussion. My mother is retaliating against me for taking legal action against him, and is threatening to revoke favors that she holds above my head, and even cause me to be homeless. I have a cat, Toothless, who I cannot leave behind. I am desperate for help, I need to leave this situation as quickly as I possibly can. I fear for not only my safety, but my life as I know it every day that I am stuck here, along with the safety of my cat.

UPDATE: My mother has officially said she will kick me out in a few months. She is cancelling my phone service (which I bought a new cheap one in preparation for), taking my car off of her insurance (I pay for it, it’s just in her name), knowing I do not yet have a license or job and am currently draining my savings already because of her.

UPDATE: My mother went back on kicking me out, but things at home are still understandably tense. I now have a job but I can’t get enough hours, and I’m still looking for another while doing DoorDash on the side.
