M&J Evans Peak District 106km Challenge
Following on from last years brutal Three Peaks Challenge, this year’s challenge will be a continual 106km walk around the Peak District starting on Friday 7th June and finishing on Saturday 8th June 2019. This challenge will take place through a tough & varied figure of 8 route through Derbyshire's finest scenery and Peaks.
The aim is for all 8 participants to finish within 24 hours, so this wont be a challenge for the faint hearted. Participating in this years events are Alex Clack, Tim Mason, Steve Alcock, Michael Evans, Jim Pettitt, Matt Jenkinson and Alex Gribble from M&J Evans. We will also be supported by Nathan Taylor from Walsall Wood Tyre and Service.
This year we are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, in support of our colleague Paul Litchfield who whilst has returned to work still has cancer treatment ongoing.
Being told 'you have cancer' can affect so much more than your health -it can also affect your family, your job, even your ability to pay the bills. But you're still you. We get that. We're here to help you find your best way through from the moment of diagnosis, so you're able to live life as fully as you can.
For information, support or just someone to talk to, call 0808 808 00 00 or visit macmillan.org.uk
Any donations are gratefully received for this amazing charity.
To those that have already donated please accept my sincerest thanks.
