Hi everyone, my name is Chrissy Wesnedge, I am raising funds for my beautiful sister and best friend Leslie Baynes, Derek Baynes and their 3 incredible sons, Mason, Carter and Callen. As some of you may know, Leslie was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. As you can imagine this brings an immense amount of heart break and we are doing everything we can to support her Derek and the boys as they navigate what comes next. As it stands today we are at the mercy of our medical system and are getting closer to understanding what comes next as each day passes. Unfortunately Leslie has spent the last week in hospital with some complications brought on by the cancer, we hope to get her home as soon as possible. What we do know today is that we need to do our best to lessen the worries and burden so that we can create more time and space for them to be together as a family and focus on what matters the most right now, which is time together.

What we know today is that she's worried about all the Mom things, missed work for her Derek, Mason and Carter, food and the dreaded finances. Our hope with the gofund me is to take some of these worries away and to get some of the things accomplished on her wish list.

We know how much Leslie means to so many people, friendships, work families, hockey families and OUR family. She has spent so many years supporting others, cheering people on from the hockey stands... it's now our turn to lift her up and support her so that she feels how loved she truly is.
