Penelope was found in the wild. She is thin, hungry and the end of her tail has been degloved so the bone is exposed.
Thankfully she was caught and brought to us, and she is the sweetest little lady.
She's quarantined due to the risk of leptospirosis, has been treated for mites, ticks and fleas, is on pain meds for her tail and antibiotics for the degloving and her respiratory infection.
She is going in for surgery tomorrow (Monday) to have the end of her tail amputated, and for a spay due to the risk of mating with a wild rat, and for her long-term health.
If the owner doesn't come forward, she will have a forever home here with our 11 neutered boys ❤️
We HATE asking for money, but we've had so many injured/ill animals recently and desperately need funds to cover Penelope's vet bills.
Initial consultation: £58
Spay: £279
Tail amputation: £134.67
Total: £471.67
