We are extremely excited to announce that in our work with Free For Life International we will be supporting the work against human trafficking in Thailand. The Lord is doing a miraculous work in our MD Free For Life chapter, invigorating us with a renewed vision for making Christ known among the nations! We will be traveling to Thailand from July 30 to August 10, and we need your support.
Trafficking in Thailand
* Key destination for sex tourists
* One of the primary hubs in the world for trafficking of minors
* A chief source of income for Thailand
* Poverty contributes to the Thai's multi-generational commercial sex industry.
* Gender inequality, domestic violence and abuse, corruption, and debt bondage all play a part in ongoing
sexual exploitation.
Free for Life partnering in Thailand
* Home of New Beginnings meets the needs of highly at-risk young women.
* Through this program, Free for Life is sponsoring shelters and the education of women and girls with no time
limit on their recovery
* Working to end generational trafficking
* Formal, informal education, and job skills are provided
Maryland Chapter: After leading this chapter for 12 years, it is our desire to continue with the support model that works best for us: establishing a personal relationship with our partner ministry and supporting them from a position of knowing them, their spiritual foundation, their work, and their needs.
We need your help
In order to establish an ongoing relationship with this new partner, we need to visit Thailand to meet the ministry partners and evaluate the work. While in Thailand, we will split our time between the two cities where the shelters are located and will spend time with the rescued girls while observing the programs in place for them. In addition, we will participate in the brothel outreaches. This will give us the ability to fully advocate for them here in the states and bring to bear the full force of our chapter’s fundraising capabilities. Will you partner with us in taking the gospel to Thailand? We need approximately $6,000 total for the two of us for the trip.
