On Friday July 25, 2025 I received a call that no daughter ever wants to receive! Our family dog was hit by a car, and the driver sped off. Never stopped to help. My dad unfortunately saw it happened, but the car was going too fast to be able to get the license plate number.

We took her to Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital where they did x-rays, pushed fluids, and are doing their best to get our girl back to normal. Thankfully, there is no internal bleeding and no broken bones! Unfortunately, her hip popped out of place, they did pop it back into place, but that didn’t work. And she has a laceration on her front leg, that they had to do surgery on because of the torn ligaments.

she is still currently at the emergency vet being monitored for her high blood pressure, and under observation for her hip and leg as well.

due to the hip popping back out of place, we will be picking her up from the vet tomorrow, and taking her to Cornell where she will get surgery to put it back into place!

As many people know, we are a family that will do whatever we can for others, and never ask anyone for help. Making this is hard enough, but I figured anything would help take stress off my parents as Sasha is my dad’s best friend. We truly appreciate anyone who has shared kind words with us since this all happened, and hopefully will find out who did this to our girl soon!
