It's a difficult time for all of us.  It is especially difficult for me to ask for help. Please do what you can and mostly stay healthy.
On June 22 I was diagnosed with Laryngeal cancer.
The doctors wanted to start radiation and chemotherapy immediately as this appears to be the best route to survive this cancer. The challenge with treatments is in preparing your body.
Due to the location of the treatment area there is a possibility of swelling and losing the ability to breath. Therefore I had a Tracheostomy installed. Radiation is very hard on your dental health, therefore a thorough dental exam was ordered and any suspected teeth for future problems were extracted. I had seven teeth pulled in one setting. Also I have had a chemo port and feeding tube installed as well.
The out of pocket medical expenses to cover my co-insurance, deductibles and dental work will deplete me and I need your help. Not just financially but with help to and from my appointments and help around the house, I also need support in maintaining my mental health with regular check-ins and visits.
My treatments are in the afternoons M-F. If you can help with rides please signup here.
If you would like to signup for general help as needed (errands, house work, yard work, check-ins, etc.) please signup here.
Please reach out, sign up and come by anytime.
I love you,
Samantha Ruggles (She, Her, Hers)
