Julian's Motorcycle Accident

On the morning of August 7, 2020, Julian was involved in a motorcycle accident at Boulevard and Irwin on his way home from seeing friends. He arrived at the hospital with cranial bleeding, a bilateral temporal fracture (skull), spinal fractures (neck and lower torso), broken facial bones, a broken nose, a concussion and road rash down his left side.
Police were dispatched to find Julian on the sidewalk bleeding from his nose, ears and mouth. The head trauma obtained prevented him from recollecting the details of the accident, but he does remember being assaulted by an unknown person or persons. Both his cell phone and wallet were stolen. In his wallet, a substantial amount of cash was taken along with credit cards that were used shortly after for fraudulent charges. Details regarding this aspect are pending.
An ambulance rushed Julian to Grady Hospital where he is currently admitted. On Saturday, he was placed in ICU allowing him better attention from the nurses on staff. A CT scan was performed this afternoon and he is waiting on those results. The hope is he will be well enough to be returned to a standard patient room Sunday. Thankfully, he is responsive, making jokes and in good spirits.
Anyone who is fortunate to call Julian a friend knows what a big heart he has. He never fails to help his friends and family in times of need. As a cornerstone in his communities, his support system runs deep.
Julian and his amazing wife, Julia, welcome their first child in September. Help us carry everyone’s favorite couple through these already challenging times, so they do not have to do this alone.
Unfortunately due to the COVID pandemic, no visitors (including Julia) are allowed to see him, adding additional stress on him and his loved ones. We will be updating Julian’s progress and any updates as they come over the next few days, weeks and months. We understand it is a difficult time for everyone, so anything you can afford to contribute is appreciated.
