Donate to help with medical costs

Hi, my name is Karl McQuade. My beautiful loving soul mate received some news on the 2nd of November after having scans and biopsies done, that she has a small papillary cancer on her thyroid. We are absolutely positive she is going to be fine, as we have the best rated thyroid surgeon in Australia performing a Thyroidectomy on Monday the 6th November. The surgeon will also take a piece of lymph node to find out if it has spread. If it has, Jaimi will need to go back down for a third trip to Sydney to have radioactive iodine treatment which means she will have to stay by herself for 3 days due to being radioactive. We have 4 children, and we are all staying in Sydney on each trip during procedures. Unfortunately, we didn’t have private health insurance and we did not want to wait for surgery so costs of the appointments, accomodation and procedure at the private hospital have already exceeded $15,000. Accomodation isn’t cheap with 6 people in the city, and neither are surgeons!

Usually we wouldn’t ask for help, but the bills don’t stop and timing has been bad for being in the middle of selling a house, and taking some time off work.

If you can donate a little, we appreciate every single bit. But please do not donate anything if you can’t - we know that it is a hard time for most people.

Our children know that mum is having a thyroid operation but they do not know the full details. If you have children that may know ours - could you please not tell them, incase they message or call about it.
