January 1st 2023 I was asked if I would be up for a challenge to raise funds and awareness to breast cancer …the challenge was to ride the full width of Australia off road and sleeping in tents .. I of course said yes.

Since then I’ve had my own health issues contracting throat cancer even tho I’ve never been a smoker. I said throughout my Chemo and radiotherapy I would still do this challenge , even with the side effects I have like no saliva ( rising across a desert …what am I thinking ) …tiredness due to chemo is also a big one too along with others …

Mid June I am flying out to Brisbane where I will team up with the crew of 3 other riders and service crew. We will test for a week upon the bikes and then drive to Perth( 5 days drive ) before heading north to Steep Point where our challenge will begin( 24 days of average riding times of 6-8hrs). We have got channel 9 news covering our trip and we have a film crew with us using drones and onboard cameras for daily footage which will be uploaded to our YouTube channel. Awareness is the key part of cancer treatment …knowing the signs and not to be scared to go see a doctor for a check up….i was lucky as mine was caught early and now I’m clear , with regular check ups for the next 5 yrs.
