URGENT- Help Me Find a New Home!

Hi there,

My name is Preeti, and I’m an actor living in Chicago. I’ve never created a GoFundMe before, but I’m reaching out because I’m in a tough spot and could really use your help.

Due to an unexpected rent increase of $400 by my landlord starting August 1, I’m being forced to move out of my current apartment. I’ve been living month-to-month this year, and unfortunately, my landlord isn’t willing to give me more time, despite my efforts to negotiate a later move-out date. Because I’m not on a lease, there’s not much I can do.

This all came up very quickly, and I don’t have the savings to cover the costs of moving, including a security deposit, first and last month’s rent, and other relocation expenses by July. Even with my job, I can’t make this work on my own right now.
