Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you all in good health. Good health truly is a blessing — one that we often don’t fully appreciate until it’s taken away.
I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for support, as I am fundraising for someone very dear to me — my husband — who has been bravely battling Hepatocellular Carcinoma (liver cancer) since April 2023
Over the past few years, we’ve fought this illness with everything we have. From multiple treatments to a major surgery in September 2023 (Right Hemihepatectomy), we held onto hope. The hospital then tried different combinations of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, but tragically, the cancer has continued to progress. The doctors here have now stopped treatment, telling us there’s nothing more they can offer.
But we refuse to give up.
We’ve found renewed hope in Germany, where advanced and innovative cancer treatments offer a real chance. These therapies are not available in the UK and have shown promising results in similar cases. It’s our best — and possibly only — option now. But accessing this treatment comes at a significant financial cost, and we cannot do it alone.
My husband’s journey through life has been incredibly difficult. He lost his mother figure not once, not twice, but 3 times
Firstly his birth mother at the age of 2 then he was given to his maternal grandmother at age 2, she passed away when he was 5 then he was passed on to his paternal grandmother at the age of 5 she passed away from illness when he was 13/14yrs old
With his parents separated early on, he was passed from one guardian to another, growing up with confusion and emotional hardship not knowing where he belonged . As a child, he was forced to work long hours breaking rocks on the roadside, only to have his meager earnings taken away. Despite this harsh start, he never lost his resilience.
He came to England in 1966 where he tried to build a life for himself
When I got married to him I was 17 yrs old he was a lot older than me at 30 yrs old and twice divorced (he found it hard to trust anyone) and doesn’t share his feeling or emotions with anyone keeps everything to himself — and just as life was beginning to look brighter, cancer struck.
We’re now fighting not just for treatment, but for time — for a second chance at life.
Please help us raise the funds needed to get him the care he deserves. No amount is too small, and every share, prayer, and contribution counts. Together, we can give him a chance to live.
With heartfelt Thanks
