I’m reaching out during a very difficult and humbling time in my life. I was recently laid off unexpectedly, and as a result, I quickly fell behind on my rent. Losing my job without warning put me in a position I wasn’t financially prepared for, and I’ve been doing everything I can to recover.

The good news is that I have recently been offered two job opportunities, and I officially start work on Monday 2/16. I am incredibly grateful and ready to get back on my feet. Unfortunately, I will not receive my first paycheck in time to cover my past due rent balance.

I applied for rent assistance, and Rent Help informed me that they would pay the remaining balance if I was able to cover 50% of the rent. I worked hard to meet those requirements, but the assistance was not processed as anticipated. As a result, I’ve had to seek support from additional programs. I have since received a Letter of Guarantee from the rent program, but I am still short $2505.20 that must be paid immediately to secure the assistance and protect my housing.

I am asking for help to raise $2505.20 to cover this remaining balance. Your support would allow me to:

• Prevent further late fees or possible eviction action

• Secure the assistance funds already approved

• Maintain stable housing as I begin my new jobs

• Focus on working and rebuilding without the fear of losing my home
