One of our Calabash families is facing the unimaginable. Three days ago  1st grader Arissa Salili lost her mommy to cancer.   Hadieh Rahbari-Salili was first diagnosed when Arissa was just 2 years old but after aggressive treatment was declared cancer-free.  Years later, she developed a tumor on her shoulder and was told the cancer had returned and had moved too quickly;  there was nothing that could be done.   Hadieh leaves behind her husband, Mohammad, and their only child, 6 year old Arissa.

The family is so grateful for the outpouring of love and support and many families have reached out asking how they can help.  Arissa's dad had been unable to work and is now facing immense medical and burial expenses.  Please consider donating to this fund to help ease the financial stress.
