Hello!

First, I want to thank all of you who have supported me and cheered me on through my athletic journeys, I couldn’t have done it without you! As many of you know, one of passions in life is snowboarding, primarily boardercross. I have been racing from the age of 10 with the Winter Park Snowboard Team and finally, in 2022, after 6 years of hard work and sacrifice on my end and as well as my families, I earned the title of USASA 2022 National Champion. In 2023, I moved to a harder class, Open Class and finished 5th in the nation! I also raced in the North American Circuit across the U.S. and Canada and will continue to do so in the 2024 season with the hopes to secure my spot on the 2026 Olympic team. Several of the coaches on the circuit have encouraged me to take this path and feel I have the talent to succeed.

I started with USASA United Ski and Snowboard Association at the age of 9 and practiced and competed in all 5 disciplines: Slopestyle, Halfpipe, Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Boarder-cross (maybe a rail jam or two). It sounds like a lot, and it is, but each discipline helped me to get where I am today and over the course of time, I slowly narrowed my focus down to boardercross.

Boardercross has taught me so much as an athlete: discipline, focus, heart, getting back up and finishing after a crash with a no quit attitude and mental toughness to mention a few things. I have broken bones, and my pride has been bruised more than once but I always come back stronger and wanting more. I have chased athletes I have looked up to, and in many cases have exceeded their performances. I have been humbled a few times, but I have become a leader, a better athlete, a better teammate and a role model because of my experiences on and off the course.

I cross train in the summer by downhill mtn biking at a CAT 1 and professional level. (sounds funny but they really do correlate and help me keep my body strong and my wits and reaction time sharp) Unfortunately, competing at the highest levels becomes expensive for me and for my family. I have worked throughout the summers and on every break from school and I save every penny I can. I also take very good care of my gear so I can sell it and replace it with new gear at the end of the season. I continue my dedication to school maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher and will be graduating early because of my hard work and my drive to compete more. I was offered an amazing opportunity to move to Tahoe and train with a dedicated SBX team who will travel to Canada for NorAm races and to Europe for the Europa Cup. My family helps as much as they can, but this truly does take a village. The last 5 years while on the WPST I applied for and was awarded scholarships to help with funding my dream. I have the chance to apply for scholarships on my new team and believe me, I'll be applying!

My season starts November 6th as I head to Europe:

11/6 Leave US for Zurich/Munich

11/7 Arrive Zurich/Munich, pick up boards

11/8 Drive to Austria (Tux or Stubai)

11/9-11 Train Tux or Stubai

11/12-16 Train SBX Pitztal (Austria)

11/17-19 FIS JR Training and 2 races

11/20-22 Europa Cup training and 2 races

11/23-27 Train SBX Pitztal

11/28-29 Head home

I will be heading home November 28th to finish my senior year as a Heritage highschool student and will graduate at the end of December!! I will be moving to Tahoe in January to join my new team to start the NorAm circuit! Any funds donated will go directly towards travel costs during my season and will help me attend races and build points toward a place on the World Cup tour!!! This is all a build up to a potential spot on the Olympic Team.
