Prior to Covid and the pandemic we were excellent paying tenants. Needless to say we have struggled as have so many others. We did apply and get as much help as possible to cover our rent but we are still behind. Our Landlord has been extremely patient and helpful but he is at the point where he cannot risk his own family’s financial future for ours which I completely understand. If we cannot get back to our previous status as renters by end of January we are looking at eviction. I hate that I have to even go this route as I’d rather be the one who helps others, not the one who needs help. My children’s needs come first so here I am swallowing my pride and asking for whatever help we can get. Covid really hurt Kenny’s business not only financially but his mental health has been severely affected which he is getting treatment for but has limited ability to work.

I work 2 jobs and have 5 children. It is important that our 11 year old twins and 8 year old stay in district. One of the twins has severe autism making it impossible to adjust to a change. Plus with an eviction on file, the likelihood of finding a safe, permanent home in the future will be next to impossible. We love this community and how we all come together to help each other.
