Linda Tanner Fraser Stroke Recovery

Donation protected
In February, Linda was at home brushing her teeth and helping her granddaughter get ready for school when she suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke to the right side of her brain at only 58. After weeks in Neuro ICU at VGH she started the next step of recovery at GF Strong. She has been at GF for 3 months of intense rehabilitation and her discharge is now approaching. Linda still has a very long way to go and is fighting to get her mobility and independence back.  Her left side is still paralyzed which has created a need for several mobility aids including a wheelchair, hospital bed, living modifications and a life long amount of physical therapy. With the challenges she is facing, she won’t be able to come home and is going to live in a long term care facility in Kelowna. Her lean benefits don’t cover the majority of any of these costs and going forward she has a large financial burden on top of her new mobility loss. So many of you have reached out asking how you can help while sharing stories of my mom’s insatiable joy for life and conversation.  Thank you for sharing your love for her and all of the beautiful cards we’ve received over the past weeks. Love her kids, Jordan & Branden and granddaughter Lennox
