Kazuma's Top Surgery Fund

My name is Kazuma Hashimoto and I have been suffering from gender dysphoria for over 20 years. Finally I was able to schedule my top surgery. This surgery will change my life completely and I feel that I will finally be able to be who I always have been and have the body that I always felt was right for me.

I grew up with a lot of shame asking for any help, but I fear this is my only chance to finally start living my life with a body that I love and accept, and will no longer hurt from the extensive use of binders needed to make me feel comfortable doing basic things when going outside. So making this gofundme is a very big and vulnerable step for me.

This year I was able to select a surgeon I have had several personal consultations with and my surgery has been scheduled for August 2025. While I am incredibly excited, I am also very much aware that this only gives me a few months to prepare financially for such a big and invasive surgery, which will leave me recovering for 6 weeks afterwards.

Surgeries like this can unfortunately be quite expensive, as insurance doesn't always cover them. In my case, my insurance covers a small amount of the overall costs, but being a freelance writer does not leave me in a place where I can afford a surgery like this on my own. With how things are changing recently, I am afraid that this may be my one and only chance of getting the surgery I have been dreaming of all my life.
