In the past few years, my friend Kaz has been dealing with large medical bills caused by a slew of medical issues that doctors have been unable to give a clear diagnosis for. In the past two years her condition has worsened tremendously. Multiple ER, urgent care visits and specialist consults have led her to a growing need for financial assistance. Even with most of the providers in network, her medical bills have been insurmountable.

Her medical condition has kept her out of work, and frequently in the hospital. Having been sick and living alone, it has been a struggle to try to get care, get better and get through the day. Being an east coaster who moved to AK to practice as a neuro physical therapist and care coordinator, she is no stranger to the medical field. Unfortunately her situation has caused her to relocate to VT to obtain more specialty care.

Kaz has been dealing with ongoing compromised lungs, but most frequently cardiac issues and autonomic crises, landing her frequently in the hospital. She has been referred to many different specialists as her situation has been so complicated. After seeing a variety of specialists, they have still not been able to provide a clear diagnosis. I created a go fund me to help pay for her medical expenses. As of now she will likely need to acquire higher level of care as she tries to get back on her feet and get answers.
