Ben & Ellis are running the Fulham 10k on 16th November 2025 to raise funds in support of Kay’s cancer treatment ️

Kay’s Story:

In December 2023, Kay underwent emergency open-heart surgery to remove a tumour discovered on her heart. Just six months later, after extensive investigations, she was diagnosed with Intimal Sarcoma of the heart - an extremely rare and aggressive cancer, with only a few hundred cases ever reported worldwide.

Shortly after her diagnosis, another tumour was found in her left atrium. Sadly, this condition is incurable and unresponsive to chemotherapy. Kay has recently received intensive radiotherapy, at doses five times higher than standard treatment, which is helping to keep the cancer contained.

The prognosis for Intimal Sarcoma is usually just two years from diagnosis. But Kay is determined to defy the odds. She continues to face this challenge with extraordinary resilience, focusing on specialist treatment, physical fitness, diet and mindfulness.

Your donations will go directly towards specialist treatments, therapies, and care products to support Kay through the ongoing effects of chemo and radiotherapy.

Ellis is dedicating this run to Kay, in admiration of her incredible resilience.

Ben is pushing for a personal best, drawing motivation from Kay’s unwavering fight.
