Kayne’s Cross Country C’mon!

Kayne, age 9, needs help to get to the Qld State Cross Country trials in Brisbane held Fri 18th – Sun 20th July 2025.

He and his mum will drive the 2200km round trip to attend the event.

Kayne ran 2km in 7m 29 sec at his school carnival, a similar time at the Scottville trial, and 9m 23sec in Townsville. Now he’s part of the Northern Region School Sport Cross Country team and needs to compete in Brisbane. How far will he go? With your help we will find out!! C’mon Kayne!

Any additional funds raised will go towards his trip to West Ham United Foundation and George Cowie Football UK Development trip to chase his soccer dreams.

Did you know?

Kayne also plays the didgeridoo, a skill he learned while living in Karratha, WA.

He loves soccer and is part of Football QLD.

Kayne keeps to a strict diet and chooses not to include sugar (I know, right!) - he doesn’t even eat sweets!

He's a regular ParkRun participant.

Kayne is bilingual and can speak Dutch.
