My 11 1/2-year-old grandson, Kaymen, needs surgery for a cochlear device for his right ear after a failed mastoidectomy a few years ago. Kaymen has Down syndrome and was born with cancer. He has had a very difficult life thus far.

Due to his mom “making too much” money (she works her tail off to provide for her family), Kaymen was cut off from SSI and Medicaid, so her private insurance through her employer will not cover $13,000 of this needed surgery. We are asking for any help to raise the deductible as well as money for the travel, lodging, food, and other bills that are coming with this surgery. If you can’t help, PLEASE SHARE! We never ask anyone for anything, but when it comes to Kaymen, we swallow our pride.
