It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Angel, Kaylynn Michael Lucas ~ A true gift & blessing, a strong willed & humoristic bundle of joy.

Kaylynn was more than a daughter, sister, relative, and friend she was a gifted scholar who attended Chrispus Attucks High School and was the 2025 Class President. She dedicated most of her high school career being a valued team member of the softball, basketball, football, volleyball, gulf, and track & field teams. Kaylynn was also musically inclined and played the tuba in her school orchestral. Most notably she was in JROCT for all four years and achieved the position of Color Guard Commander.

Kaylynn's courage and compassion was unmatched. Her heart for others was one of a kind. She was a tremendous support to her mother, providing in any way she could and helped raise her little brother. She was someone that others could lean on, always sharing thoughts of wisdom and never hesitant to lend financial support as well. While Kaylynn's enduring heart withstood prolonged struggles with mental health, her faith stood unshaken.

She was a remarkable gift from God-motivated to surpass against all obstacles that stood in her way. She had future plans of earning a degree from Indiana State University and pursuing a career as an U.S. Airforce Officer. Although she faced many setbacks while on the path to this goal she set for herself she was more than determined to achieve them.

We now, as family are rallying together to give Kaylynn the honorable farewell she deserves and to memorialize her faithful, courageous, self-less, and humble spirit.
