Kaylin’s ICU & NICU Bills
Donation protected
Thank you so much for all of the prayers, phone calls, and text messages that our family has received during this time! We all are all forever grateful! We have had a lot of friends and family members reaching out asking how they can help so I decided to create this GoFundMe to help Jeffrey & Kaylin with all of the medical bills that they were not planning for. They are currently still in the ICU which marks day 4 and Emma is still in the NICU with a nurse that is with her 24/7. I can not even imagine what this is going to cost them and the last thing that they should have to deal with after this traumatic experience is to have to worry about finances. I know that Kaylin & Jeffrey would never ask anyone for money, but I know they will really appreciate anything that you can afford to donate.
Here is the shortened story:
Kaylin went into the hospital on Thursday early morning at 37 weeks because she was diagnosed with preeclampsia.
Kaylin gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Thursday, May 17th @ 9:30pm. Kaylin was given pitocinto help start labor and was given and epidural but it did not take effect. She had a very rough delivery but luckily Emma June Stovall was born with no complications. (Emma is healthy now but was sent to the NICU since Kaylin started having complications. They will not release Emma out of the NICU until Kaylin is discharged from the ICU and sent to a normal recovery room.)
It all begin about 30 minutes after delivery when things started going downhill fast. Kaylin started turning pale and was bleeding uncontrollably. They gave her two pints of blood, but it immediately left her system. The doctors removed Emma from the room and began rushing Kaylin to an OR because they could not get the bleeding under control. The doctors told Jeffrey it would be about 20-30 minutes to do a clean out hoping that they would fix the problem. She was given 7 units of blood during surgery. The doctors eventually came out and informed Jeffrey that it was not successful and that they would have to do a hysterectomy to save her life. Of course, he agreed and then the waiting began. Jeffrey paced the hospital floor just praying that his wife would survive. Several hours of waiting went by which seemed like forever. Once the surgery was complete, we found out that she received another 3 units of blood. Then the doctors continued to come in and out of the OR saying that they were now trying to get her blood pressure level. When Jeffrey finally got to see her she was very swollen and was on breathing tube and had IVs in both arms and neck. She finally woke up in the morning in the ICU. They were finally able to remove her breathing tube, but it has still been touch and go with her blood pressure. They have given her magnesium today in hopes to get it regulated. We are praying that it stabilizes soon and that she will be moved to a regular room to be reunited with Emma.
