So. Here we are. Never thought I’d do this. But me and Aaron have had a shit time of it to say the least. We have been together 10 years now. Engaged for most of that. We barely get by, month to month. But we’d absolutely love to get married. Aaron’s health is declining badly, he has renal failure, for the second time after his kidney transplant failed after 2 years. Except this time, he’s really unwell. He currently does dialysis through a neck line, which doesn’t give good clearances and the risk of infection is very very high. He needs a fistula (where they connect an artery and vein) so he can do dialysis properly. Unfortunately recent tests have shown he only has 1 possible suited site for the fistula. Meaning, if this doesn’t work and his neck line fails. He can no longer dialyse. This is a terrifying thought for us as a family. He has been dealing with this illness for several years now, and things just seem to be getting worse. I know as a woman, I’d like a dream wedding but in reality, Aaron would also love that for us. It is his dream as much as mine. We have been through a shit time of it and would just love that one special day to be everything we dreamed of. And not just a piece of paper for the convenience of everyone so I’m covered if (god forbid) the worst was to happen. We are just so fed up of the cards life has drawn us, if we could just have enough money to properly celebrate our wedding, and our love for each other. It would mean the world to us. Our aim is to raise £5000 so we can just have an intimate and special day that we can celebrate with immediate family. This covers all the costs of a wedding as well as venue costs. If anyone could spare even £1 we would be forever grateful. We just need a bit of positivity in this shitty life we have been drawn, seemingly never ending.
