Hi there .

Tuesday February 8th. Our 2 year Old Daughter Kaylei B. Amor went to her scheduled routine checkup and we learned her iron levels was below the normal range for children her age. Her Dr. Instructed us to take her to LAB CORP to receive a more detailed blood analysis to see how low it actually was and what we would need to do to bring those levels up. The next morning the Dr. called us with the results, & was very earnest that both parents were by the phone to hear the lab results. We were told that Leukemia blasts were found in Kaylei’s Blood and that we needed to go straight to Childrens Hospital to be admitted and have her checked in asap. In panic & full of emotion we packed clothes, food, all her essentials and did as we were told. We weren’t to convinced of how serious everything was about to be because Kaylei was very energetic and always up in good spirits not showing any signs of illness and it was nothing visually wrong with our child.

 

We have been in the hospital now for 2 weeks with our child. Kaylei has already went through blood transfusions , Bone Marrow Surgery and started Chemotherapy. This is something that no one could ever prepare for & we would’ve never imagined one of Our children would be going through anything like this. We are giving 100% to this Journey & Process to protect Kaylei and make sure she gets back out to the world.

 

As her parents we both are business owners & will be by her bed side this entire journey. We will continue to stand by her side and spread awareness in our communities. Of course bills will continue to come in and we have to not only keep our businesses running through this process, but We also have to make sure we keep life going for our return home. We are expected to be in the hospital 4+ weeks and that time frame depends on her levels & reduction of the Leukemia Blast that consume her body.

 

Meeting and seeing so many kids in this hospital some with parents some without has really opened our eyes. We are definitely going to do more with your donation and funding to help parents with children undergoing Leukemia & Cancer treatments to spread more awareness in our community as soon as we get our Beautiful Kaylei B. back to living her amazing childhood life.

 Now with a turn of events she has pass, from a medication too strong for a 2 year old, we are now doing funeral arrangements. Trying to give Kaylei the princess celebration she deserves we can use help from family and friends.
