Kaylee’s Skull Surgery Journey – Let’s Lighten the Load

Hiya!
I’ve never done this before, but as a momma bear, you do whatever it takes when your cub is hurting. So here I am—putting my pride aside and asking for a little help for my oldest daughter, Kaylee.

Since January, she’s been battling nonstop headaches, dizziness, and blurry vision. She’s been in and out of doctor’s offices and hospitals with no real answers—just a lot of waiting rooms, medical bills, and frustration.

A few days ago, things got worse, and she went to the ER. They did a CT scan and told her they’d refer her to a neurosurgeon… eventually. But Kaylee wasn’t about to sit around and wait while her head was pounding. So she marched herself straight to OSU. Within an hour, they admitted her to The James Cancer Hospital.

They did an MRI and two doctors came in to tell her:
“Let’s just keep an eye on it. Come back in 2 months.” (although they did confirm it wasn't cancer so that was a HUGE relief!!)

She left feeling discouraged—like even though she finally had a diagnosis, nothing was going to happen unless she had a seizure or something dramatic.

Then, out of the blue she got the call.
Not just a call—the Vice Chair of Academic Affairs and Co-Director of the Skull Base Surgery Program at OSU personally reached out to say he had reviewed everything and confirmed:
It’s a benign bone tumor in her skull bone—something she was born with—and it CAN be removed.

Cue the tears.
Cue the relief.
Cue... the bills.

The surgery is finally scheduled. It’s not brain surgery—it’s skull/bone surgery—but she’ll need at least two weeks off work to recover, and she can’t afford to lose a single paycheck.

She’s even trying to wait two weeks just to scrape together enough to take the time off.
But honestly? Her health shouldn’t have to wait for her wallet to catch up.

That’s why I’m here.
If you’re able to pitch in even $20, it would help cover the paychecks she’ll miss during recovery. If you can’t donate, sharing this means the world to us.

Thank you for loving her, supporting her, praying for her, or even just reading this whole thing. We appreciate you more than you know.
