Kaylee's battle with IBD
Spende geschützt
Hi, the Ross family is going thru something no one should ever have to deal with. Their daughter Kaylee's been battling IBD and her recent flare has her in the Stollery. Vicky and Chris need to be by her side so they could really use some help to assist with the bills and travel while they are not able to work. Please feel free to donate to this go fund me or the Gutsy [E-Mail ausgeblendet]
Kaylee
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when i was 9 years old! But in July 2023 at 11 - they re-diagnosed me wirh Crohn’s disease! I want to live a better life and help others with IBD as well!
Did you know that every hour, someone in Canada is diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)?
Update May 21, 2025
…As Kaylee is on day 14 in the hospital, Chris and I wanted to give everyone an update and say THANK YOU! ❤️
Kaylee was originally admitted to the hospital on May 8th due to her ongoing Crohn’s flare that we couldn’t get under control. After starting a few new medications and their help, she is healing GI/Crohns wise…however an incident on the 15th has her kept here longer than expected!
From what we understand, Kaylee suffered an incident that caused her to lose all function of her body for 24 hours….her mind and body's response to the extreme pain and stress of everything happening. She now has upper body movement back - but not her lower body. She can wiggle her toes and feel her legs - but they just don’t work like they should. We were told it is not permanent, but it will be a long journey of therapy and work for her to get back to normal. We remain in the hospital to get the needed therapy and assistance in how to make this work back home for her!
So we wanted to say Thank you to everyone out there supporting Kaylee, Taylyn and us! Thank you for the Prayers! Thank you for the kind words, cards, gifts, and messages! Thank you for the Gutsy Walk donations for Crohn’s and Colitis research. Thank you so much for the Go fund me Donations and financial support! We Appreciate it all and are so grateful for all the support in all forms offered to us for our sweet Kaylee Rae! ❤️
She is a fighter and will fight through this new setback as well! We have faith that she will recover fully…in time

Update
After 5+ weeks in a Crohn’s flare and 17 days in the Stollery Childrens hospital…Kaylee has been through a lot physically and mentally. She is home from the hospital now! We are so grateful to be home where she can continue to recover and move forward in life. She has a long road to this recovery learning to walk again, regaining strength and healing from her flare, but she is tough and will make it thanks to everyone’s support!
