My uncle was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, which is a bile duct cancer. The cancer spread through him quickly and he was gone in only a couple months. He asked me to take in his two cats Kaylee and DJ I was hesitant at first (I am a single mother and already had 3 cats) but after thinking it over I decided to take them in. It was unknown to us that my uncle was an hoarder, he lived alone and worked as a truck driver so he was gone long periods at a time. After I took them in was when I was told Kaylee was 17 and DJ was 5. Kaylee was very vocal and playful when I first got her she loved to be petted. After a while Kaylee became more tired and didn’t really do much but sleep by her water fountain. in July of 2023 Kaylee turned 18 she was losing a lot of weight so I took her into the vet and was told she was at the beginning stages of kidney disease she has been at the vet a couple days now. The vet has given her fluids and she is a lot more herself now but I know the road for Kaylee will not be cheap. Just know I was not prepared for the onset costs of a senior cat Kaylee was my grandmothers cat and then my uncle. I know Kaylee has more life in her and I just want to give her a chance if you can donate any amount will be appreciated.
