Donation protected
Update Second treatment done 6 more to go no side effects today. Everything went smooth minus the fire alarm going off because the cafeteria burnt the beans they were cooking. Making funny memories even getting treatment. Thank you everyone that is in this journey with us.
Update Yesterday was my sister first treatment this round and she made it with little symptoms and ended it good spirits. Thank you to everyone sharing, praying, and donating. 1 treatment down 7 more to go.
Hi this is my sister Kayla and some of her little family. In December their life was turned upside down when we found out my sister was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia. We found out it is not curable but they have came a long ways and she can possibly go into remission for a very long time when treatment is over. Of course that is what we are all praying for but while she is healing we are trying to take away some financial worries. She did her first round of chemotherapy in January and tried to still work but unfortunately her job had to let her go. She is about to start her second round of chemotherapy this month once a week for 8 weeks. She also has to go to the oncologist once a week so a lot of doctors visits. Since she has been home she had 3 blood transfusion, one she actually ended up with an allergic reaction, so even going through regular day life has been a little hard. She has applied for disability but we all know that can take a while to get approved for. Luckily we are a big family and she has great support system but we want her to have the best healing process and try and release some stress off of her. If you can't donate we completely understand but if you can at least send your thoughts and prays that she is in remission by the end of her treatment will be so amazing as we believe God will heal her. Thank you for taking the time to help my family.
