Kayla’s Fight Against SJS
Donation protected
As most of you know, Kayla is currently at the University of Iowa fighting a disorder called Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. SJS is a rare, serious disorder of the skin and mucous membranes. It's usually a reaction to a medication or an infection. Often, it begins with flu-like symptoms, followed by a painful red or purplish rash that spreads and blisters. Then the top layer of the affected skin dies, sheds and then heals. Recovery for SJS can take weeks to months. This obviously means Kayla will be out of work for quite awhile. Her fiancé, Aaron will be missing a lot of work as well to be by her side. On top of missing work, Kayla will now have unexpected medical bills. She is also trying to plan her dream wedding in Florida for this October.
We all know how big of a heart Kayla has, and she would give anything she could to those who need it! Let’s not let Kayla fight this fight alone!
