Miss Kayla Mix is 15 years old and was walking home monday night from work when she was involved in a hit and run in Apache Junction. Miss Kayla was struck by a speeding car while crossing the street and the driver of the car did not stop to see if she was ok, the driver just drove off while leaving the 15 year old lying in the street blessing and unconscious. She was air lifted to mountain Vista Hospital and then air vac to Scottsdale Osborn. Kayla has a fractured pelvis, fractured leg, internal bleeding in the brain and abdomen, bruised lung and kidney. She is currently unresponsive and is induced. Kayla is scheduled to have surgery Oct 29, 2015. Kayla is currently missing out in school and her job and will miss out on the S.A.T's she has been looking forward to. Raising money will help her family out with expenses of traveling to and from Hospital and her intensive therapy she will need while in recovery and her medical expenses her insurance does not cover. No teenager or parent should ever have to witness this near death to their child. Please help her and her family through this hard time.
