Kayla's Crew (meeting needs as she battles cancer)

"It's cancer."
Kayla's April 16 confirmation of pancreatic cancer was news that shook the foundations of all who love her.
The bad news: the first of months of chemo has begun, a rather significant late-summer surgery is being considered (check out the Whipple Procedure surgery), more months of chemo will follow, as well as possible radiation. There will be time off work, time not spent with family and friends due to the effects of the chemo, doctor visits, and doctor bills.
The good news: it's early! Kayla's cancer was caught at a stage two. There is a whole lot of optimism for healing!
The need: life goes on in every other way...except that Kayla is unable to work for the time being. She used up all her vacation prior to and during a diagnosis and follow-up from surgery placing stents to allow her liver to work correctly (the tumor is blocking the bile duct).
The thankful heart: Kayla and her precious family are overwhelmed by the kindness shown to them already.
Ways to help: There have been many who have asked how they can help. First of all, thank you to all who have asked, offered, provided, and followed up already! Thank you for blessing Kayla and her family! In addition to helping defray some of the astronomical expenses associated with chemo, surgery, and hospital bills by donating here, Kayla and her family are thankful for ways to make life a little easier right now - like Walmart or Cashwise gift cards, gift cards to places their kiddos like to eat like McDonald's or Qdoba, etc.
Today is a good day! She is half way through her first round of chemo and her numbers are in good shape.
We are praying for complete healing for Kayla. Will you join us? Will you help Kayla and her family? Thank you for being on Kayla's Crew!
