In the early morning hours of May 18, Kayla was involved in a shooting in southwest Cedar Rapids. Since the shooting, she has been in the ICU, under sedation, with swelling in her brain. As we watch, wait, and pray for Kayla's recovery, we her family are collecting donations to defray what will surely be enormous medical bills.
