About 7 months ago we took her to see our primary doctor because of enlarged lymph nodes. She was diagnosed with Valley Fever. For 4 months she was getting treated for Valley Fever. After doctor realized her lymph nodes were not getting any smaller. She was referred to a specialists. At first he just increased the dosage for Valley Fever. After 2 months he decided to do a biopsy, 6 months after being dignosed with Valley Fever. Biopsy came back positive and we found out her enlarged lymph nodes were because of Hodgkins Lymphoma. Very sad, dissapointing and frustrating that it took doctors 6 months to realize what she actually had. Had they diagnosed her correctly, who knows. Her treatment could be completely different. Maybe she would need less than the 5 treatments she will go thru now and possibly wouldn't need radiation.
